Show Notes

*Warning! Contains explicit language and harsh critique*

Antisocial media has become the platform for banality and mediocrity, center stage in the three-ring-circus carnival of illusion and over-inflated egos that seems to thrive on the attention that may be achieved from the virtual world built upon the ashes of a dying culture that the lonely and empty ones have willingly surrendered their minds to.

I use social media to make people smile- or help find home for animals- it can help animals if used in the right way. But everything else I agree with you for sure.

I hear you Rachel. It can have positive uses. Every now and again I present short diatribes that take a proverbial baseball bat to the skull of society : )

I think it’s wonderful that you help to rescue animals. I’ve done a lot of volunteer work in my community to do that as well as assist local veterans. Many of the local musicians in this area have gotten together over the years to participate in benefit concerts and donate our time to raise funds to assist abused and neglected animals. It’s all kept on the local level and the two people that put these things together, over the years have raised about $50,000 to assist in this way. It’s been amazing being a part of it for the past several years.

Last June, I was coming home late at night, and a little kitten was in front of my building frightened and shaking. I couldn’t leave him there so my GF and I picked him up and brought him inside. It took about an hour for me to become attached and he has been with me ever since. The love and affection that a rescued animal exudes is incredible! Thank you so much for listening and commenting. All the best Rachel! Keep doing what you’re doing! Walk in peace!

Right on! I use on fb to stay in touch with my (real life) friends, who are scattered around the world, but have never done twitter or any of the others — fb’s more than enough for me, and I don’t even go on that except once a day to see messages (since no one wants to send emails these days).

Thanks Pamela! Like I replied to Rachel, it can have positive uses but for the most part, social media has become the ghetto of the internet. It’s amazing, when one detaches from that nonsense their life becomes enriched. And now, the censorship crackdown has really taken hold across a wide range of platforms. Thank you for taking the time to listen and comment! All the best!
